Baritone Fernando Araujo was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he began studying piano at the age of seven and composition at eleven. At the age of twelve he sang the role of the Third Spirit in a production of Mozart´s The Magic Flute in his native city. He studied Piano and Voice at Indiana University, Bloomington, and began his professional career as a vocal accompanist.
Since recent years he develops a career as an opera and concert singer, and his repertoire already encompasses many of the leading roles for the baritone voice, such as: Papageno at the Munich Philharmonie, Escamillo at the Lithuanian National Opera, Rigoletto at the Festival Winds of Baikal in Russia, Marcello in the production of Anton Juan at the Samsung Hall in Manila, and Mozart´s Figaro in the production of Eike Gramss and Josef Wallnig with the Mozart Opern- Institut , Salzburg. He attended the Opera Studios of the Verbier Festival and the Pacific Music Festival in Japan and had the honor to sing under the baton of renowned conductors such as Dennis Russell Davies, Fabio Luisi, Ilmar Lapinsch and Hans Graf. At the Auditório Nacional de Música in Madrid he sang in a benefit concert together together Ruggero Raimondi. In the Grandi Voci International Singing Competition under the patronage of Grace Bumbry he won both the Audience Award and the Verdi Award. Upcoming engagements include the roles of Germont in Verdi´s La Traviata and Amonasro in Aida at the Opernfestspiele Schloss Amerang in Germany, Figaro in Rossini´s Il Barbiere di Siviglia and the title role in the world-premiere of Hamlet by Ingo Kolonerics and Jeppe Jacobsen at the Skive Opera Festival in Denmark. In January 2019 Fernando will sing the baritone solo in Carl Orff´s Carmina Burana with the Philharmonie Salzburg at the Felsenreitschule. He is a soloist of the Salzburger Konzertgesellschaft, of the Kinderfestspiele and of the Oper im Berg Festival, and teaches in the Opera Dept. of the Mozarteum University, Salzburg.
Prof. FERNANDES, Marialena
Born in Mumbai, Marialena Fernandes has been since several years a recognized artist on the international scene.
After acquiring her Licentiate Diploma of the Royal Schools of Music (LRSM), Fernandes completed her education from the Mumbai University in Psychology.
Winner of the All India Beethoven Piano Competition, Fernandes was awarded a scholarship to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where she received her Diploma in Piano and Chamber Music Performance with unanimous distinctions.
Her Professors were Walter Panhofer, Bruno Seidlhofer, Tamas Vasary, Stanislav Neuhaus, Wilhelm Kempf.
Solo, Chamber Music and Orchestra concerts in most European capitals followed, but also in USA, Australia, Africa and Asia. Annual TV and Radio broadcasts, CD recordings.
1988-2006 Professor for Piano and Chamber Music at the Joseph Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt.
Since 1991 Professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Workshops, Masterclasses around the globe, Jury member at International Competitions.
Artistic Director and International Program Curator in Crossover projects, in which Fernandes incorporates classical, jazz and world music fusions with an emphasis on Improvistion. Intercultural exchange between Students, Teachers and Audiences.

In 2008 Marialena received the MIA Award for Woman with international background in the field of Art and Culture from the Austrian Ministry for Education and Culture.
2010 took the artist for a Sabbatical as scholar as well as faculty to the USA at the University of Urbana Champaign in Illinois.
2012 she was invited to participate at M.I.T Boston University in a Symposium on „Reconstructing Beethoven as Improvisor“.
2013 Fernandes attained the PhD degree from the University of Music and performing Arts Vienna.
Since 2015 Fernandes has initiated a project called „The Quest for Passion“ which takes place annually in India, in which she incorporates musicians from Europe and India in dialog with each other; but also involving talented youth discussing diverse artistic themes.

Prof. LESKOWITZ, Luz
Prof. Luz Leskowitz was born in Salzburg and started to play violin at the age of six. At the age of thirteen, he was admitted to the Music-Academy in Vienna where he studied with Vasa Prihoda and later with Riccardo Odnoposoff. At the Mozarteum in Salzburg, he studied viola and violin with Ernst Wallfisch. After that he studied with Ernst Wallfisch in Lucerne and with Yehudi Menuhin in London. Luz started a successful career with concerts in Europe, the Far and the Middle East, Africa, the USA (New York – Carnegie recital-hall, Alice Tully hall in Lincoln Centre and New York Town Hall), Brasilia, Russia, Korea and Japan.
Luz’s chamber music partners in the past and at present include Stefan Askenase, Paul Badura-Skoda, Wilhelm Kempff, Ingrid Haebler, Jörg Demus, Detlef Kraus, Jeremy Menuhin, Igor Oistrach, Alberto Lysy, Mstislav Rostropovitsch, David Geringas, Heinrich Schiff, Elly Ameling, Karl Leister, Hermann Baumann, Michala Petri, the Bartók-Quartet, Voces-Quartet, Members of the Amadeus Quartet and many, many others.
Inspired by the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad, Luz Leskowitz founded his first Chamber Music Festival in Germany, the Harzburger Musiktage in 1970. Motivated by the enormous success of his festival, he then founded 11 other International Chamber Music Festivals and Competitions in Austria, in Russia, in Korea, in Romania and all over Germany. Luz was the first and only one who started together with Hermann Baumann the “First International Hand-Horn Competition”. In 1979, he formed his own ensemble, the Salzburger Solisten. Since its formation, the ensemble performs regularly all over the world (Vienna-Musikverein, Amsterdam-Concertgebouw, London-Wigmore Hall, Milano – Verdi-Hall, Moscow / Conservatory etc.).
Luz was invited to serve as jury in many competition, including the first Brahms-Competition in Hamburg, the “International David Oistrakh Competition” etc. and started the “Intern. Salzburg-Mozart Chamber Music Competition” in Tokyo. Luz had also taught in various master classes especially on classic and romantic chamber music repertoire, in different countries like Japan, Korea and Russia.
Luz received from the Russian Government the “Lomonossov-Medaille” for cultural engagement in and outside Russia, and from the President of the Republic of Austria the title “Professor” for cultural engagement worldwide.
Luz Leskowitz is playing on the Stradivari Violin “Ex Prihoda” from 1707.
Maestro PAPÓCSI, Róbert
Robert Papocsi wurde in Ungarn geboren, besuchte das Musikgymnasium in Vác und studierte anschließend Horn und Musikpädagogik an der Hochschule in Pécs (Ungarn), wo er 1997 sein Diplom am Horn und 2003 mit Dirigieren (Hochschule in Pécs bei Karoly Neumayer) machte.
Zuerst war er Musiklehrer, Lehrer für Blechblasinstrumente und Chorleiter an diversen Schulen und Musikschulen in Ungarn, sowie Leiter einiger Blaskapellen, mit denen er diverse Preise bei Wettbewerben gewann.
Als Hornist war er zuerst im Budapester Operetten Theater, bei der Pannon Philharmonie Pécs und ab 2007 im Cairo Symphony Orchestra engagiert.
Er nahm an einigen Dirigiermeisterkursen teil, unter anderem bei Bert Alders (Niederlande), Ronald Johnson und Lawrence Dale Harper (USA), sowie Lászlo Dohos (Ungarn).
Seit 2011 lebt Robert Papócsi in Wien, wo er beim namhaften Dirigenten Michael Halász (Wiener Staatsoper) weiter studierte und sein Dirigierstudium mit dem Masterstudium bei Christian Schulz am Richard Wagner Konservatorium abschloss. Neben 3 Blaskapellen, die er leitet, ist er bei diversen Orchestern tätig.
2016 engagierte Christian Schulz ihn als Assistent für die Oper „Baruch´s Schweigen“ (komponiert von Ella Milch-Sheriff), die in Wien im Semperdepot uraufgeführt wurde. Im Juni
2017 dirigierte Robert Papocsi im Zuge des Vienna Summer Music Festivals die Oper „Suor Angelica“ von G. Puccini.
2017 dirigierte er das Symphonieorchester Nagykanizsa in Ungarn bei ihrem Neujahrskonzert mit großem Erfolg und wurde dort Chefdirigent.
Im Dezember 2017 folgte dort ein weiters Konzert mit Kodály Werken (symphonische und chorische).
Im Mai 2018 dirigierte Robert Papocsi sein Masterprüfungskonzert im Palais Auersperg in Wien, wo die ganze „Fledermaus“ von J. Strauß aufgeführt wurde.
Im Juni war er wieder Teil des Vienna Summer Music Festivals, wo er die Assistenz bei der „Zauberflöte“ übernahm.

Bgm. Ing. SABBATA-VALTEINER, Thomas
Ing. Thomas Sabbata-Valteiner (born in 1974) has been Mayor of the market town of Pottendorf since 2005. Since his in charge of the office, many cultural activities like the New Year’s Concert taking place annually with the Strauss-Festival-Orchestra Vienna are held in Pottendorf. The local muisc school has also been expanded to accommodate more than 250 students.
Pottendorf is rich in history. The castle with a beautiful landscape garden, the first cotton mill on mainland Europe in 1802, the Rother Hof Museum, the 300 years old church (inaugurated in 1718) and the historic school building from 1929 are part of this great history of our community. History and culture is a mirror of our community and society which we look upon heavily.
As Mayor, I am pleased that there is now the corporation between OCFMK and the market town Pottendorf with this year’s activities held on 20 and 21 July 2018 in the ballroom of the market town Pottendorf, Alte Spinnerei 1.
We look forward to the cooperation and the opportunity, especially of the youth, in facilitating the cultural exchange between our two nations! It is a unique opportunity we want to take together to develop mutual respect for culture and music!
Mag. SCHÖRKHUBER, Evelyn
Evelyn Schörkhuber was born in Steyr, Austria and received her earliest musical training in Waidhofen/Ybbs, where she made her very first stage appearance as a 15 year-old high school student, singing the roles of ‘Papagena’ in Mozart’s “Magic Flute,” ‘Susanna’ in Mozart’s “Marriage of Figaro,” and ‘Hänsel’ in Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Hänsel and Gretel.”While still at the conservatory Johannesgasse in Vienna , Evelyn performed a number of different roles that are still part of her current repertoire in studio productions, including ‘Frau Fluth’ in the “Merry Wives of Windsor” by Otto Nicolai, ‘Fiordiligi’ in W. A. Mozart’s “Cosi fan Tutte,” ‘Rosalinde’ in “Die Fledermaus” by Johann Strauß, and ‘Tessa’ in Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Gondoliers.” During this same period, she also toured extensively with the Wiener Kammeroper (Vienna Chamber Opera), and the Seefestspielen Mörbisch throughout Europe, China and Japan, performing in front of large audiences. In the Kammeroper, she performed the roles of ‘Ida’ and ‘Rosalinde’ in “Die Fledermaus” (Conducted by Ernst Theiss, Richard Edlinger, Alexander Drcar, Director: Thomas Mitmann) and ‘Barbara’ and ‘Annina’ in “Eine Nacht in Venedig” by Johann Strauß (Conducted by: Ernst Theiss, Director: Thomas Mitmann). As an 18-year old student performing with the Seefestspielen Mörbisch, Evelyn took on the roles of the ‘Electress’s Maid of Honor’ in “Der Vogelhänder by Carl Zeller (Conducted by: Rudolf Bibl, Director: Winfried Bauernfeind), and later, ‘Annina’ and ‘Barbara’ in “Eine Nacht in Venedig” by Johann Strauss (Conductor: Rudolf Bibl, Richard Edlinger, Bernhard Schneider, Director: Helmuth Lohner.
After completing her singing studies, Evelyn performed with the NÖ Tonkünstler at the Reionsberg Opera Festival, singing the role of the ‘Erste Dame’ in W.A. Mozart’s “Magic Flute” (Conducted by Martin Sieghart, Director: Paola Viano) and later as ‘Die Königin der Nacht,’ also in Mozart’s “Magic Flute,” at the Vienna Jugendstil Theater (Conductor: Andres Orozco-Estrada) and on tour through Japan. Another tour followed, singing as ‘Saffi’ in Johann Strauss’s “The Gypsy Baron” (“Der Zigeunerbaron”) (Conducted by Florian Samfir).
Her extensive concert performances with the Baroque ensemble “Trinito,” the “Lichtspiel” duo, and the renowned “Vienna String Quartet” (musicians from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra) also led her to Spain, Japan, Iceland, Egypt, Israel, Hungary and Italy.

– In 2009 at the Studio des Teatro Real in Madrid as ‘Alice Ford’ in “Falstaff” by Giuseppe Verdi; as ‘Hanna’ in Franz Lehar’s “Die lustige Witwe” (The Merry Widow) (Conducted by Jorge Rugio, director: Giancarlo del Monaco), as ‘Alice Ford’ in G. Verdi’s “Falstaff” at the Auditorio de Tenerife, and in numerous concerts featuring a Claudio Monteverdi program in cities including Siguenza, Salamanca, Toledo, and Valencia, as a soloist with the “Ensemble Mosaik,” performing a program of arias by Georg Frideric Händel, and as third place winner at the Tournoi International de Musique in Paris, as the ‘Erste Dame’ in W.A. Mozart’s “The Magic Flute” on tour through Austria and Germany (Conducted by Pablo Boggiano, director: Robert Simma) etc.

Prof. WALLNIG, Josef
Josef Wallnig was born in Salzburg, Austria, he studied piano, composition and conducting (Hans Swarowsky) at the Academies of Music in Salzburg, Vienna and Rome.
He worked as assistant of Karl Böhm at the Salzburg Festivals, where he later on (in 2006) conducted the early operas of W.A.Mozart (“Apollo et Hyacinthus” and “Schuldigkeit des Ersten Gebots”).
Since 1980 Josef Wallnig is professor for opera interpretation at the University of Music Mozarteum Salzburg; he was Chair of the Opera department as well as Vicerector of the Mozarteum. In 2006 he founded the Mozart Opera Institute MOI, which he developed to an international well known institution. In 2009 he conducted “Don Giovanni” in Peking , and in 2013 “Bastien and Bastienne” in Macao.
Josef Wallnig taught and conducted (masterclasses) in the USA, in Russia (at Bolshoi Theatre 2016), China, Korea, Egypt as well as in many European countries. He gives lectures at the Salzburg Festivals every year.
In 2008 he received the doctorship of honour of the Academy of Music Vilnius/Lithuania.

Prof. WEBER, Andreas
Andreas Weber studied piano with Prof. Karin Merle at the Musikhochschule Köln/Germany and Prof. Hans Leygraf/Mozarteum Salzburg Austria, and further with E. Leonskaja, B.Seidlhofer and V.Margulis.
Diploma in the international piano competition Tomassoni. He performs as a soloist and chamber musician throughout in Europe and Asia, especially with Trio Cartellieri and as partner with the violinist Albert Fischer. He holds master classes on music in music universities in Cincinnati/United States, Belgium, Seoul, Gwangju/Korea,Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Yamaha Center, Tokio, Beijing, Great Wall Academy at the National Academy of Music in Hanoi/Vietnam and is also jury member in national and international competitions in Germany, Austria, Japan, China and Australia.
CD productions with the Austrian cellist Hanna Spielbüchler (Brahms, Schubert, Franck) and Trio Cartellieri (Turina, Takacs, Piazzolla) and with Austrian violinist Albert Fischer (Mozart, Schubert and Brahms).
Since 2002, Andreas Weber is professor for piano in the university “Mozarteum” in Salzburg, Austria. Many of his students won first prizes in the national youth competitions of Germany and Austria and also won many prizes in renowned international piano competitions.
Since 2005, he is head of the Leopold Mozart Institute, University Mozarteum Salzburg, and the representative for furthers exceptionally talented young musicians in their artistic development especially through international concert engagements.
Since 2009 he is also professor at the International Summer Academy Mozarteum.
Mag. ZHAO, Linhong
Mag. Zhao Linhong is member of Chinese Artists Association. She studied at the Department of Art of Harbin Normal University where she received his Bachelor Degree. She studied at the Department of Applied Fine Arts, Munich School of Art, Germany From 1990 to 1997 where she received her Master Degree in art.
In 1984, her work „Northeast girl“ participating in the Sixth National Art Exhibition was granted the outstanding works award.
In 1999, she set up the „Lin Hong Gallery“ in Salzburg, and established Salzburg Chinesische Sprachschule and Salzburg Chinesisches Kulturzentrum in 2012.
